(Read on BSN)   AZANIA SINGS FOR THE PRESIDENT OF SIERRA LEONE ***Azania had the immense honor to sing for the President of her country of origin, Sierra Leone, His Excellency Ernest Bai Koroma, as well as for the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Tony Blair. The grand gala was held in New York City's beautiful Lighthouse hall of Chelsea Piers.
President Koroma was invited to accept a special award for positive leadership given by the AAI (Africa-America Institute). Azania sang the National Anthem of Sierra Leone and met the President in person later, who was happy to say that he enjoyed her rendition.  RADIO INTERVIEW - INDIE REVIEW **********Azania was interviewed by Indie Review Radio - New York - to talk about her life story and her past, present and future in the music business. AZANIA MOVES TO NEW YORK! ************After 20 years of living in Geneva, Switzerland, Azania packed her bags this Summer and moved to New York City to pursue her music career in the U.S. She's thrilled to be living a new adventure, her Swiss fans and friends are supporting her 100%, and New York has greeted her with open arms!  TV INTERVIEW ON LÉMAN BLEU **********Azania was invited to perform a song and talk about the charity "All As One" (www.allasone.org) which she supports. She was also there to promote the benefit concert she was organizing to raise funds for All As One. The TV show is called: "Journal des Bonnes Nouvelles" presented by David Cuñado.
All As One is an international charity for orphaned, abandoned and destitute children suffering from the results of Sierra Leone's 10-year civil war. The charity gives complete care to these children providing them with a home, schooling and medical treatment. They have saved the lives of many little angels and brought smiles back to their faces, giving them a chance for a better future.
